Start with the situation, not a perfect brief

Tell me what is getting in the way.

You do not need a perfect brief. A clear description of the situation is enough to begin.

A useful first message

Share the context, what is repeatedly difficult, what already exists and what you want people or the business to be able to do differently.

If the fit is not obvious yet, that is fine. The first step is to understand the problem well enough to identify a sensible route, or to say honestly when a different kind of support would be more appropriate.

A few practical details are enough: the context, what is getting in the way and what you want to be different.
